Engage D2: City Manager Candidates (Resumes & Questionnaire Responses); How Our Community Responds to Violence Against Women)

A couple of quick notes for you heading into the weekend…

City Manager Candidates – City council has selected a panel of four finalist for the City Manager position.  Our next step will be to have one on one interviews with the candidates, allow staff to meet the candidates, and have a reception where the public will have a chance to meet and interact with each of the candidates.  This open to the public reception will be held on Monday, November 14th from 6 to 8:00 PM at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center, 400 East Hickory Street.

District 2 Conversation Sunday, November 20th.  D2 on DV:  How Our Community Responds to Violence Against Women -November’s District 2 Conversation will be dedicated to a discussion about violence against women and girls and the resources that we have available within our community to assist them.

Speaking will be:
-Donna Bloom, Director of Legal Services, Denton County Friends of the Family
-Denton Police Department (Chief Howell has committed staff TBD)

This D2 Conversation will be held on Sunday, November 20th at 2:00 PM at the North Branch Library, 3020 North Locust Street.  Facebook event invite HERE.
